    Sandy Point Benevolent Society to Host 13th Annual Awards Gala in New York

    Bronx, NY – The Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS) is proud to announce its 13th Annual Awards Gala, set to take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Maestro’s Banquet Hall, 1703 Bronxdale Avenue, Bronx, New York, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The event will be held under the Distinguished Patronage of Pastor Judith Esdaille and Elder Moulton Esdaille of Mount Carmel Pentecostal Church, Bronx, NY.

    This highly anticipated gala continues SPBS’s tradition of celebrating excellence, service, and community among nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis and the wider Caribbean diaspora. The evening’s keynote address will be delivered by Her Excellency Dr. Mutryce Williams, St. Kitts and Nevis’ Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

    Five distinguished honorees will be recognized for their outstanding contributions in various fields:

    • Mr. Troy “Bif” Mills – Distinguished Alumnus and Sports Enthusiast
    • Dr. Almesha Richardson-Campbell – Distinguished Alumna and Education Researcher
    • Mr. Leroy Powell – Distinguished Businessman and Philanthropist
    • Mrs. Gracemae Richardson-Carty – Distinguished Community Activist and Philanthropist
    • Ms. Abena Amory – Distinguished Entertainer and Cultural Advocate

    Guests will enjoy a night of celebration, featuring a gourmet dinner, uplifting speeches, and vibrant entertainment. The lineup includes the Breakaway Brass Band, vocalist Ms. Nikkie Farrier, King Hollywood from Nevis, dynamic dancers Kellie and Aleah, and a performance by one of the evening’s honorees.  The MC will be Mr. Troy Southwell of MCPC.

    The SPBS Gala is not only a cultural showcase but also a fundraiser that supports educational and community development initiatives in Sandy Point and beyond. The Society invites all community members, friends, and supporters to attend and help make this event a continued success.
